Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday welcomed His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), during his visit to India.
Reflecting on his own visit to the UAE last year, where he participated as the Guest of Honour at the World Government Summit in Dubai, Prime Minister Modi extended warm greetings to UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and UAE Vice President and Dubai Ruler His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Prime Minister Modi noted that the Crown Prince’s visit signifies “generational continuity in the strong and historic ties between India and the UAE,” highlighting the shared vision and mutual trust that continue to deepen bilateral relations.
Both leaders held discussions on advancing the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, with a focus on key sectors such as trade, investments, defence, energy, technology, education, sports, and people-to-people exchanges.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the UAE leadership for ensuring the welfare of the 4.3 million-strong Indian community residing in the Gulf nation, calling them a vital bridge in the enduring relationship between the two countries.
