As Joe Biden took his oath of office, he was accompanied by wife Jill and their children Ashley, 39, and Hunter, 50.

The family shared an emotional embrace after the big moment.

Vice President Kamala Harris was accompanied by her husband (and first-ever Second Gentleman) Doug Harris as well as his two kids, Cole and Ella Emhoff.

Harris is very close with Ella, 26, and Cole, 21, who call her "Momala." In the New York Times, Ella said of her family's good relationship, "It's a cool dynamic we all have. And I think it is a good model to show that you can have this and this isn't weird. .... It's actually very healthy."

Biden also had all of his grandkids there with him: his late son Beau's children Natalie and Robert Biden (who goes by Hunter) and his son Hunter's children Maisy, Naomi, Finnegan and Beau.

Baby Beau, 8½ months, was a big hit with the crowd.

Harris was also accompanied by her family: sister Maya Harris and her husband Tony West, their daughter Meena Harris and Meena's two daughters Amara and Leela.
